About Us
The Alexxi Foundation was created to ensure that no spinal cord injury (SCI) survivor or family has to navigate trauma, recovery, or life‑changing medical events alone. Born from lived experience, our mission is simple and deeply human: To bring stability, emotional clarity, and community support to individuals and families facing sudden trauma and long‑term recovery.
In January 2026, Alexxi Keefover’s life — and the lives of those who love her — changed in an instant. A spinal cord injury reshaped every plan, every routine, and every expectation. But Alexxi’s response to that moment became something extraordinary: she chose strength, positivity, and purpose. Her determination to keep moving forward — and to lift others as she does — is what inspired this Foundation.
Through the long hospital days and the first steps home, Keith Sellers and Alexxi’s support network saw how overwhelming recovery can be. They learned that survivors and loved ones often have to navigate complex systems with little guidance.
Out of that experience came a clear purpose — to build a foundation that offers direction, compassion, and connection for anyone affected by spinal cord injury.
The Alexxi Foundation was created to bridge the gap between medical care and real‑life recovery. We provide practical tools, emotional support, and advocacy for survivors and their support networks across the San Antonio region.
A world where every spinal cord injury survivor — and every person who stands beside them — has access to clear information, compassionate guidance, and a community that understands.
Alexxi is a survivor — and her strength continues to inspire everything we do.
We honor that strength by helping others find theirs.
Every program, resource, and partnership reflects the same message that started this mission: you are not alone.
Individuals facing the shock, fear, and uncertainty that comes with a sudden spinal cord injury — whether in the ICU, rehab, or adjusting to life at home.
Parents, partners, siblings, friends, and chosen family navigating the emotional and logistical realities of recovery.
While our mission centers on SCI, we support anyone experiencing acute emotional overwhelm after trauma.
Hospitals, rehab centers, peer groups, and partners seeking trauma‑aware resources.
If you’re facing a moment that changed everything, you deserve support, clarity, and connection.
